This animation demonstrates normal current flow in a grounded system. Current travels from the utility transformer to the service panel, through a feeder overcurrent device to a subpanel, through a branch circuit overcurrent device to the load. Current then returns on the branch circuit and feeder grounded circuit to the service grounded terminal and finally to the center point of the utility transformer. No current travels on the equipment grounding conductors.
