320.22(C) Other Space Used for Environmental Air

• Wiring methods include: MI Cable, MC Cable without nonmetallic covering, AC Cable, Cables that are listed for the use (such as Plenum rated computer, telephone, and fire alarm cable), EMT, FMC, IMC, RMC, FMT.

• Equipment for use above lay-in ceilings must be in a metal enclosure or a nonmetallic enclosure listed for the use.

300.11 Securing and Supporting

• Raceways, cables, and boxes cannot be supported from the ceiling support wires or ceiling grid.

• Independent wires supported on both ends can be used to support raceways, cables and boxes.

• The independent wires must be identified by coloring or tagging as different than the ceiling support wires.

410.36(B) Supporting Lay-In Luminaires in Suspended Ceilings

• Lay-in fixtures shall be securely fastened to the ceiling grid by screws, bolts or rivets.

• Listed clips identified for use with the type of ceiling shall be permitted.
