Class Descriptions

Each 4 hour class, Successful Electrical Installations, or Practical Wiring for Professionals, will be taught by one of the following individuals:

Successful Electrical Installations (4 Hours Credit)

GroundingThis class will focus on the grounding and bonding of AC services, transformers, and generators.

Sections covered will include:

• 250.4 (A)(2) Grounding of Electrical Equipment

• 250.24(A) System Grounding Connections

• 250.30 Grounding Separately Derived AC Systems

• 250.35 Permanently Installed Generators

Questions and class discussions are encouraged. No tests or quizzes are given.

 

Practical Wiring for Professionals (4 Hours Credit)

This class has three separate topics:Services

• Services

• Blueprint Reading

• NC Building Codes

The Services section will examine Article 230 and discuss common mistakes when installing building services. The Blueprint Reading section will look at a commercial blueprint and interpret the notes, schedules, and plans in order to make a profitable installation. The NC Building Codes section will look at the requirements of non-electrical code rules that affect electrical installations.
