Arc Flash labels are now required on more types of electrical equipment, except in dwellings. Arc Flash labels warn qualified electricians about the dangers of an electrical explosion.
A change in the 2008 National Electrical Code means these field installed labels must be added to more than just switchboards, panelboards, industrial control panels, meter socket enclosures and motor control centers. Read full story...

Adventures in Alaska with Dick Statham
Ever wonder who it is that you're communicating with when you send the JADE Instructor an email? That expert is Dick Statham, a former instructor and department chairman in the Electrical and Electronics department at Guilford Technical Community College in Greensboro, NC. He is also a contributor to JADE Learning's 2005 and 2008 NEC Changes courses.
In the summer of 2006 Dick Statham and his wife, Wardene, drove their Air Stream travel trailer from North Carolina to Alaska.
They spent 2 1/2 months in Alaska camping, canoeing, exploring glaciers and meeting many new friends. Read full story...
