Florida Electrical License Renewal Deadlines: August 31st, every two years.

How do I renew my license? Step 1. Complete your continuing education hours (14 hours). Step 2. Wait for your hours to be posted to the Board. Step 3. Submit your renewal form online at https://www.myfloridalicense.com/intercept.asp along with the required fee.
What if I don't renew my license? "(h) 489.533(1)(h), F.S., practicing on revoked, suspended, inactive or delinquent license. 1st offense; Delinquent: From reprimand and $250 fine, up to probation, suspension followed by probation, or denial or revocation. Inactive, Revoked or Suspended: From reprim and and $1,000 to $5,000 fine, up to probation, suspension followed by probation, or denial or revocation."
Why should I renew my license? "(d) Any person who voluntarily relinquishes his license for any reason must appear before the Board and meet current licensing requirements prior to being allowed to seek recertification through the examination or registration in a jurisdiction." "The Electrical Contractors’ Certification examinations is offered in two parts: a Technical/Safety section (100 test questions, 5 hours) and a Business section (50 test questions, 2 ˝ hours)... A minimum score of 75% is needed to pass each examination part. Candidates must pass both parts in order to apply for licensure." "Once a license has gone null and void, a previously licensed individual must reapply as though he or she never held a license. The initial license number cannot be retained."
What happens if I'm late to renew my license? "The delinquent renewal fee for all licenses is $50." "(1)?The following acts shall constitute grounds for disciplinary actions as provided in subsection (2): (h)?Practicing on a revoked, suspended, inactive, or delinquent certificate or registration."
