How do I renew my license? Step 1. Complete your continuing education hours (8 hours). Step 2. Wait for your continuing education hours to be posted with Arkansas Board of Electrical Examiners. Step 3. Renew your license online at: https://www.ark.org/labor_electrician_renew/index.php with the required fee of either $25.00 (Journeyman)or $50.00 (Master).
What if I don't renew my license? "(4) If a licensee shall fail to renew his or her license within six (6) months after the expiration date on the license, the licensee may renew his or her license by paying a penalty of ten dollars ($10.00) for a journeyman or residential journeyman electrician, ten dollars ($10.00) for an industrial maintenance electrician or air conditioning electrician, and twenty dollars ($20.00) for a master electrician or a residential master electrician, in addition to the regular renewal fees. (5) If the license is not renewed within one (1) year after the expiration date on the license, the licensee shall be required to take another examination as administered by the Board of Electrical Examiners of the State of Arkansas."
Why should I renew my license? If you do not renew, you cannot work. You will be required to re-test to get re-certified. What happens if I'm late to renew my license? (3) Any licensee may renew his or her license within six (6) months following the expiration date on the license by paying the renewal fee as indicated in subdivision (b) (2) of this section."
