In order to renew your license, the New Jersey Fire Alarm, Burglar Alarm and Locksmith Advisory Committee requires that you complete 36 hours each triennial cycle. 1 Hour on Barrier Free Subcode. 1 Hour on NJ Uniform Construction Code. 1 Hour on ADA Code. Burglar Alarm License must have 3 Hours on Smoke Detection Systems. Maximum of 12 Hours related to Business and/or Law. Balance of hours should be in trade-related subjects. The renewal deadline in New Jersey is August 31, 2013 (every three years).
The New Jersey Fire Alarm, Burglar Alarm and Locksmith Advisory Committee has asked us not to send completion rosters. When you finish the course we will mail you a certificate of completion which you can include with your license renewal form.
For a fee of $25 per course, NJ approved classes can be reciprocated to other states with similar requirements.
